A household in his care
Life at Eibon Antique Shop depends on more than the commissions that come through its doors. Someone has to prepare the meals, keep the cupboards stocked, balance the accounts, and make sure the household is ready for its next job. In Hethereau, those responsibilities belong to Adler.
His work can mean preparing seven separate breakfasts or patiently persuading the children to finish their vegetables. Drinks need replacing, hangover remedies need to be on hand, and every commission brings the possibility of another loss to budget for. Adler handles these demands with the same attention he gives to protecting the shop’s residents.
A man of many accomplishments
Other Anomaly Hunter organizations have taken an interest in him, but Adler continues to choose Eibon. His abilities reach well beyond household management: he has competed in swordsmanship and archery, taught the tea ceremony, and even won a paper-plane competition.
For all those accomplishments, his loyalty remains rooted in the people around him. He brings patience and steady judgment to the household, placing the needs of Eibon and its neighbors ahead of his own.
Ayatana and the five Sunyas
When a situation calls for combat, Adler’s Esper ability, Ayatana, allows him to summon five Sunya phantoms: Rupa, Vedana, Sanna, Sankhara, and Vinnana. Their presence gives him several ways to support a fight, from striking opponents and inflicting continuing Incantation damage to shielding his allies.
The Sunyas also have a place in Eibon’s everyday life. Residents try to guess their names, and Adler turns correct answers into an occasion for a homemade dessert.
Composure, loyalty, and a watchful eye
Adler meets others with courtesy and keeps his composure when the household needs someone dependable. His role is both practical and protective: he tends to daily needs while helping keep the people in his care safe.
That combination is reflected in his appearance. Glasses and carefully arranged dark hair accompany a white jacket edged in gold, a red shirt, a dark vest, and black gloves. Asymmetrical armor adds a fighter’s readiness to the formal dress of Eibon’s butler.

The rhythm she carries
Before her days with the Tamamochi Street Resident Association, Aurelia played drums in Lines. Akane and Suzuha were her bandmates and close friends, linking that part of her life to both music and companionship.
Lines may no longer be performing together, but those friendships still occupy her thoughts. Her dialogue hints at affection for her old companions and curiosity about where life has taken them. She wonders how they are doing, leaving the impression that the band’s shared history still matters to her.
Life on Tamamochi Street
In Hethereau, Aurelia’s present-day activities connect her with Tamamochi Street and its commercial district. Her profile gives this everyday role a playful presentation: district administration sits alongside jellyfish piloting, enthusiasm for The Whoot, and a tendency to lose her way.
Music runs through how she is described, with musical language appearing throughout her presentation. Her civic responsibilities have not displaced that interest. The former drummer remains a devoted listener as well as someone with a part to play in the neighborhood.
A different way through the city
Aurelia can control jellyfish. Her gift is described as having a relatively narrow scope, but she has made it useful in a very personal way: a jellyfish carries her through Hethereau, giving her a means of getting around without walking.
This floating transport serves as a mobility aid. She is described as having a disability, though its precise nature is not specified here. The jellyfish is therefore an important part of her access to the city, as well as a distinctive expression of her Esper ability.
Her profile also adds a lighthearted detail about city rules: traveling along the streets on a jellyfish apparently does not count as a traffic violation.
Friends beyond the band
Akane and Suzuha remain the clearest connections to Aurelia’s time in Lines. Both are described as close friends, and her recollections suggest that the bond has outlasted the group’s performing days. Music gives those memories a shared setting, while her concern for her former bandmates gives them lasting warmth.
A name that fits
Aurelia is also the genus name used for moon jellyfish, including Aurelia aurita. The connection echoes her unusual power and the floating companion that helps her navigate daily life. Between her neighborhood work, love of music, and jellyfish journeys, her past and present remain closely intertwined.

Thinking a few steps ahead
At Eibon Antique Shop, Edgar is often the one considering what could happen after everyone else has already decided to act. He gathers information, investigates anomalies, and puts careful thought into the group’s operations. Even a plan that seems unlikely to survive his teammates’ enthusiasm gets a backup.
That preparation comes with less glamorous responsibilities. When a job takes an unexpected turn, Edgar can find himself explaining the situation, offering apologies, and sorting through the consequences. His contribution to Eibon includes both planning an operation and dealing with what follows it.
Quiet company
Edgar is still a child, but his thoughtful manner and sense of responsibility can make him seem mature beyond his years. He watches closely, speaks little, and sometimes appears absorbed in a difficult idea.
His reserve should not be mistaken for dislike of the people around him. Nanally and Sakiri know him well. Among his young companions at Eibon, he often takes on the work of thinking things through while the others supply the momentum.
Whether a particular silence comes from concentration or trouble putting a thought into words is less certain. What is clear is the patient attention he gives to information, plans, and the practical details his friends may overlook.
A distinctive Eibon style
Light-blue hair and matching eyes accompany Edgar’s elaborate outfit. His white jacket has gold ornamentation, while a blue scarf and orange bow add contrasting color. Embroidered shorts, fingerless gloves, and a key carried at his hip complete the look.

A courier with stories to tell
Haniel Cresswell delivers for Sterry Express, but her imagination rarely stays within the boundaries of an ordinary working day. She dreams of being a heroic high school girl who saves the world, and brings that enthusiasm for adventure into both her delivery work and everyday life.
Her imaginary Genesse Girls’ Academy Paranormal Department gives those ambitions a setting. Through roleplay and heroic storytelling, she finds ways to make familiar routines feel like part of a much larger adventure.
Many accounts, one creative spirit
Online, Haniel has room for several sides of herself. Her public Bagel account represents Sterry Express and helps draw attention to the company. Her private accounts are where she shares her personal interests, from fan fiction and illustrations to music and cosplay.
She is an enthusiastic participant in fan communities as well as a creator. That energy connects her hobbies: writing a story, making an image, exploring music, or putting together a costume each gives her another way to take part in the worlds she enjoys.
Amazing Grace
Haniel’s Esper ability, Amazing Grace, combines Psyche attacks with support for her companions. Her power can take the form of magical projectiles, while Hootie—an owl-like portable speaker—uses music to strengthen her allies.
Repeated attacks can set off an Ensemble, dealing damage to enemies nearby. Entering her Paranormal Ace state makes these effects stronger, bringing her love of heroic roles into the way she fights alongside a team.
Color, sound, and imagination
Haniel’s lively appearance suits her creative interests. Bright pink hair is marked by a green streak, with colorful clips and headphones adding to the look. Oversized streetwear and a palette of pink, green, and black give her a vivid style.
Across her work and hobbies, she comes through as energetic and imaginative. Her different online identities give her space to promote Sterry Express while continuing to create and share the stories, art, and performances she loves.

A field operative with an ambition
Mint wants to become a CSU Ace. Fieldwork suits her energy and physical ability, but the written containment-safety examinations remain a persistent obstacle. She can perform well in physical testing and still struggle badly when the questions are on paper.
Her cheerful manner comes with an extensive knowledge of Hethereau’s people and places. She is eager to get involved, quick to make connections, and especially attentive to details that reach her through her sense of smell.
Speed, strength, and wind
Her ability is listed on paper as Nya-Choo!, while the account of how it works describes speed enhancement. By accelerating her movements and reactions, Mint can deliver rapid sequences of attacks and put considerable force behind them.
Her Anima element gives her access to wind manipulation, which she combines with that speed to produce tornado-like attacks. The distinction matters: wind is described as an elemental capability, while accelerating herself is her individual Esper gift.
The account also connects her physical development to the strain of repeatedly using extreme speed. Her body is described as adapting to withstand those movements and the forces involved. It attributes difficulties with thinking and learning to a side effect of her awakening; that explanation is presented here as part of the account rather than as a measured assessment of her intelligence.
The summer she met Tiny
As a child, Mint had already grown unusually tall and felt apart from children her own age. She would spend time resting in trees, sometimes quietly returning kites that neighborhood children had lost in the branches.
One summer brought a meeting with an adult Bureau operative whose youthful appearance led Mint to call them Tiny. This capable new friend helped her learn better control of her Esper ability and gave her a colorful bag and a notebook.
The friendship left Mint with a reason to seek out the Bureau herself. Joining offered the possibility of meeting Tiny again, tying her future work to someone who had helped her when she was younger.
Friends remembered by scent
Smell gives Mint a personal way of recognizing people and remembering them. Her nicknames follow those associations: Zero, or the Appraiser, becomes Coco; Shinku becomes Taya, a reference to pitaya; and Iroi becomes Teana because of a tea-like scent. Lacrimosa brings tomatoes to mind, but Mint keeps the nickname Tomatosa to herself and addresses her senior colleague respectfully as Lacrimosa-senpai.
Her friendship with Nanally began when they both reached for the last bottle of tail-care spray. Nanally later invited her into the Colucci family. Mint worried that Bureau work would prevent her from attending family meetings, so she declined full membership but accepted an honorary place.
She treats Lacrimosa as a senior at work, while Baicang and Fadia make her nervous. These relationships sit alongside the friendliness and enthusiasm she brings to life in the city.
A recognizable companion
Turquoise hair with a pink streak, red eyes, cat ears, and a tail make Mint easy to recognize. A white blouse, dark bodice and skirt, and a cat-shaped bag complete her appearance.
Details that remain uncertain
An estimate placing Mint at eighteen comes from combining a reported school setback two years earlier with assumptions about school-entry age and the year she failed. That calculation is an inference, not a confirmed age.
The childhood accounts also differ slightly: one places her arrival at her current height at age ten, while another says it happened before ten. Her awakening is associated with that period, but an exact timeline should remain unsettled until those details can be reconciled.

The lieutenant of ETD-4
Skia serves as lieutenant in the Bureau of Anomaly Control’s Enforcement Tactical Division 4. His commanding presence can lead people to assume he is the squad’s captain, but lieutenant is his official position.
Pursuing suspects, carrying out arrests, and suppressing anomalies are central to his work. His shadow-based powers suit those duties, allowing him to follow targets and hold them in place.
Control in the field and on paper
There is a methodical officer behind Skia’s imposing appearance. He takes procedures and paperwork seriously, bringing the same practical attention to an arrest as to its administrative details.
Discipline also shapes how he uses force. His character account emphasizes limiting unnecessary damage during arrests, placing control alongside the ability to pursue and restrain a target.
Faust and the shadow hounds
Character-profile guides identify his Esper ability as Faust. Its techniques let him manipulate shadows in several ways, combining pursuit, movement, and attacks by shadow hounds.
Fang Thrusts chase his targets, while Shadow Hound Chase lets him move as a shadow across floors and walls. With The Pack, he sends shadow hounds against enemies. Together, these techniques support his role in enforcement and anomaly suppression.
A reserved professional
Skia is stern, deliberate, and professional. His place in ETD-4 connects him to the other members of the division, though the available overview offers little detail about his individual relationships. His working habits give the clearest picture of him: careful, orderly, and focused on the task at hand.
An unmistakable presence
Dark fur, large ears, a thick mane, and a scar over his left eye give Skia a striking canine appearance. His tall frame is dressed in a pinstriped vest over a black shirt, with a red tie patterned with bones.
Tactical gloves and harnesses accompany the formal clothing, while a wolf-emblem belt buckle completes the outfit. The combination reflects the practical demands of his work and his disciplined presentation.

Behind the bar, beside the stage
StarSign gives Akane Rin a place in both the working life and the music of Hethereau. She tends the livehouse bar and plays guitar part-time, remaining close to performance after an earlier chapter with Lines.
That former group was a band as well as an Anomaly Hunter organization. Akane shared it with Aurelia and Suzuha, whose lives became closely connected through their time together.
When Lines came apart
The group’s separation followed two major changes: Aurelia lost the use of her legs as a consequence of her Esper ability, and Suzuha moved away. The end of Lines left feelings between its former members that were not fully resolved.
Akane and Aurelia’s shared past returns to the foreground during the Night of Moondog festival storyline. Their reunion gives that history room to be explored, bringing the former bandmates together again.
Helping the next band find its way
At StarSign, Akane befriended Haniel and became a guiding presence for younger musicians. Esper Zero and Nanally were among those she helped mentor as The Whoots!!!! took shape.
Her protective attitude toward the group gives her a role beyond performing. Alongside her continuing ties to Aurelia and Suzuha, these newer friendships connect her musical past with a younger generation beginning its own story.
Unwritten Star
Akane’s Esper ability is called Unwritten Star. Her Lakshana fighting style carries music into combat through guitar-based attacks and effects such as Overtone and Reverb Field.
As a guitarist and performer associated with StarSign, music is a clear link between her everyday work, her relationships, and the way she fights.

The captain behind the pranks
Baicang leads the Bureau of Anomaly Control’s Enforcement Tactical Division 4, though his everyday behavior can make the title seem surprising. He is blunt, playful, and adept at finding ways around work. Elaborate pranks on his colleagues are part of that reputation, as is his enjoyment of the complaints they post about him on the Bureau’s internal forum.
When a situation becomes serious, his team sees a different side of him. Beneath the teasing is an attentive and capable officer they can rely on. Humor often covers that seriousness, allowing him to lead without making intimidation his usual approach.
Before he found a home
Baicang’s early life began in a branch of his family where he was unwanted. He later entered the main household to develop his Esper gift, but the experiences of those years left him painfully aware of what his power could do.
His words could take a life. That knowledge became a reason to avoid speaking, and he spent a long period choosing silence. Someone important eventually helped him find a sense of belonging and a place he could think of as home. The available introduction does not name that person.
The responsibility of a word
His supernatural ability gives words the potential to become blessings or curses. Having known their destructive force, Baicang carries an uneasy relationship with speech and the responsibility that comes with it.
His history places that power beside a difficult limitation: being able to end a life does not mean he can keep everything he values safe. That tension helps explain the weight beneath his otherwise carefree manner.
Life with ETD-4
Fadia, Skia, and Lacrimosa serve alongside him in ETD-4. His colleagues have reason to be irritated by his mischief, yet they also know the captain who becomes dependable when they need him.
Outside those responsibilities, Baicang enjoys pasta and Italian dishes. His habit of snapping noodles in half before cooking them adds another small example of his irreverent approach to daily life.
Elegance and autumn imagery
Long silver-white hair, a slender side braid, and green eyes give Baicang a polished appearance. His tailored white jacket features pale-blue accents, gold geometric ornamentation, and butterfly details. Dark gloves and a gold-buckled belt complete the outfit, contrasting with his mischievous habits.
His name, 白藏, has a traditional association with autumn. Its connections to white, harvest, and storing things away echo the falling leaves used in his official story.

First impressions
Chaos’s mask and imposing presence can make an encounter with him seem daunting. Conversation reveals a much more approachable person: cheerful, relaxed, and eager to talk. Once a subject catches his interest, his enthusiasm can carry him well past the point where others might have finished speaking.
That warmth exists alongside his reputation as a formidable enforcer. As a member of Enforcement Tactical Division 6, he confronts anomaly-related crime for the Bureau of Anomaly Control. Bureaucratic work interests him far less than catching criminals and bringing dangerous situations under control.
Committed to the pursuit
On a dangerous assignment, his easygoing manner gives way to intense concentration. Chaos fixes his attention on the target and is unwilling to give up the chase. The friendly conversationalist becomes the persistent pursuer his reputation describes.
His determination can also cause trouble for the team. He often sets official procedure aside while pursuing criminals, leaving his captain to deal with the aftermath. ETD-6 has learned to work around his unpredictable approach, recognizing both the complications he creates and the effectiveness he brings to the job.
Smoke given shape
Chaos can produce and control great amounts of smoke, forming it into solid shapes and objects. The power is substantial, but its underlying mechanism remains unexplained.
He has observed that more smoke seems to appear in places connected with criminal activity. From that pattern, he suspects a connection between his power and the past wrongdoing of people nearby. This is his own theory, rather than an established explanation of how the ability works.
The person and the hunter
His dark, imposing design and unusual mask reflect the intimidating side of his work. They give little warning of the energetic, talkative personality people encounter when they get to know him.
That contrast offers a way to read his character: an outwardly frightening officer can be welcoming company, while a cheerful teammate can become uncompromising in pursuit. His unresolved theory about smoke also leaves room for questions about guilt, justice, and what his power actually responds to.

A childhood spent searching for food
Chiz’s earliest years were shaped by hunger. In her impoverished homeland, she began searching for food alongside her older siblings as soon as she could run. Vegetables and mushrooms could sustain them only while there were still some to find.
When those supplies ran out, the children hunted Apocha, dangerous Anomalies that could be eaten. The search for a meal often left them injured, and the shortage of medicine made those wounds another part of the struggle to survive.
A farewell lit by fireworks
Her Esper power emerged during one of those desperate encounters. Chiz was escaping an Apocha with blood running from a wound in her neck when she discovered the ability that would become known as A World of Dew.
In her homeland, becoming an Esper brought danger of another kind. People feared Espers and drove them away much as they did Anomalies. On her last night at home, Chiz used her new gift to create a little fireworks display for her younger siblings. Their happiness became a memory she carried with her after leaving.
A different city, a different meaning for light
Hethereau offers Chiz a new life. She works as a manager at Pink Paws Bank, which is associated with the Dvořák Family, and is considered reliable despite her timid manner.
Safety does not make the past disappear. Sometimes she sits alone in a dark room and looks out at the bright city. Those lights recall a homeland where illumination could be a warning of danger rather than reassurance.
The family she remembers
Chiz is gentle and willing to help, sometimes accepting requests that leave her worn out. Conversation can be difficult for her, and her words may come hesitantly, but she treats her responsibilities with care.
Her mother and younger siblings remain central to her memories. In private, she sometimes wraps her arms around herself and hums the tune her mother used to sing for comfort. Her mother’s hope that she would find happiness gives particular weight to the life she is building now.
A World of Dew
Chiz’s Esper ability is named A World of Dew. Its awakening is closely tied to her childhood hardships, though the account here does not describe a full set of combat techniques.
Her journey brings together hunger, separation, and rejection with the unfamiliar experience of having somewhere safer to live. The contrast between survival and safety offers a way to understand why ordinary moments in Hethereau can still carry the feelings of home.
A bright design with a difficult history
Chiz has a petite frame, pale skin, pink eyes, and a small mole beneath one eye. Her short pink hair forms two loops that suggest mouse ears. Pink, white, and black clothing is accompanied by a little hat, an expressive backpack, boots with oversized zippers, and bandages around parts of her body.
Her name plays on cheese, fitting the mouse imagery that accompanies her bank association. Xiao Zhi, her Chinese name, also evokes a small mouse. These cheerful details sit alongside a personal history marked by scarcity and loss.

The bodyguard at Eibon
Daffodill works exclusively as Eibon Antique Shop’s bodyguard. She is precise, watchful, and sparing with words, carrying out her duties with exceptional discipline. Trust reveals a gentler side of her, though the experiences behind her guarded manner make vulnerability difficult.
A childhood held as leverage
Her separation from her parents served Madam T’s purposes. While they were sent on dangerous treasure-hunting missions, Daffodill was used to keep them under control. Their attempt to bring the family back together ended when Madam T arranged their deaths.
Daffodill did not know who had betrayed them. The woman who took her in was also the person responsible for the loss of her family, placing her childhood in the hands of someone who had already used it against them.
Raised for a purpose she did not choose
Life under Madam T and the Scarlet Letter brought punishing training. Daffodill was valued for what she could accomplish on missions, with records treating her as an asset rather than a child whose life mattered in its own right.
That treatment left its mark on how she relates to others. Discipline and emotional restraint became familiar habits, while showing need or uncertainty became much harder. The quiet bodyguard at Eibon carries that history with her.
The cost of extraordinary sight
At nineteen, her Esper ability awakened. Thousand Blades, Thousand Eyes gave her perception beyond ordinary vision: she could see through Anomalies and discern concealed layers of reality across time and space.
The awakening also took away her natural sight. Her visual impairment developed with her powers rather than being present from birth. An eyepatch became a recognizable part of her appearance, and collecting different designs grew into a personal interest.
Being welcomed as Daff
Eibon offered Daffodill a different kind of home. Hotori’s care is especially significant because she recognizes Daffodill as a person, with value beyond her usefulness as a fighter. Even the affectionate nickname Daff can catch the reserved bodyguard off guard, bringing a blush to her ears.
In one of their conversations, Hotori describes a daffodil growing in a lake. She does not need to pick it to appreciate it; letting it remain where it is can be enough. For someone whose life has been shaped by ownership and control, that thought offers a different way to understand affection.
Practical habits and private interests
Daffodill is loyal, serious, and careful about how she presents herself. Dark clothes have a practical purpose: they conceal injuries and make it more difficult for an opponent to judge how badly she has been hurt.
Her eyepatch collection adds a more individual touch to those habits. Alongside her compassion for people she trusts, it suggests room for personal choices within a life long governed by other people’s demands.
A flower and a new beginning
Short dark hair marked with electric-blue strands frames her eyepatch. Her black tactical uniform combines white gloves, gold buckles, and neatly arranged straps, bringing formal elegance to a practical military style.
Her name recalls the daffodil and its associations with spring, hope, and renewal. Those meanings offer a lens for her changing life: a gradual chance to discover who she can be when care allows her to exist freely, rather than claiming her as a possession.

A beginning without a past
Esper Zero’s story begins with a discovery near the center of a major Anomaly incident in New Helios. The circumstances prompted suspicion of a connection to the Circle, but suspicion did not explain who Zero actually was.
After recovering, Zero could remember nothing of their earlier life. As the protagonist of Neverness to Everness, they enter the story with their origins and identity still unresolved, searching for a past they cannot recall.
Under observation on Groth Island
The unanswered questions surrounding the incident, together with Zero’s unusual powers, led the authorities to keep them under strict supervision. At the Jail of Hethereau on Groth Island, Zero lived under what amounted to house arrest while officials tried to determine their identity and assess any danger they might pose.
This confinement placed uncertainty at the center of their relationship with the authorities. Zero’s lack of memories offered few answers to the questions raised by their discovery.
An Esper without a measurable signature
The Wertheimer Index normally registers Esper activity. Zero is the only known Esper whose activity eludes it, leaving no detectable signature for the system to measure.
That absence makes ordinary classification difficult and draws the Bureau of Anomaly Control’s attention. The instruments used to understand other Espers cannot account for Zero in the same way.
Seeing the Nexus
Zero’s Esper ability is called Zeroth Sense. Their exceptional sensitivity to Anomalies allows them to perceive a hidden Nexus: the core connection that enables an Anomaly to continue existing.
This perception earned them the title Appraiser. Recognizing concealed structures gives Zero a particularly valuable role in investigations and encounters with dangerous Anomalies, revealing connections others may be unable to see.
A place at Eibon
Zero’s association with Eibon Antique Shop brings them into Hethereau’s unusual world of Anomaly-related work. It also offers a place among the shop’s residents while the search for their missing history continues.
Life around Eibon contrasts with the isolation of the island facility. New relationships develop alongside the unanswered questions, giving trust a place in a story that began with suspicion.
Identity still taking shape
The player chooses Zero’s gender presentation and birthday. The male and female versions share the role of the central protagonist, while the mystery of their earlier life remains part of the story to uncover.
Memory, identity, and the limits of measurement provide recurring ways to understand the Appraiser. Zero can perceive the hidden connections sustaining Anomalies, yet the system designed to detect Espers cannot perceive their own activity.

At the head of ETD-6
Exe commands Enforcement Tactical Division 6 within the Bureau of Anomaly Control. His position puts him in charge of a team involved in confronting dangerous Anomalies, with responsibility for its operations and the situations its members encounter.
Lieutenant Elyms serves in the division alongside Chaos and Linko. Their shared assignment establishes Exe’s role as captain, but the personal relationships within that command have received little explanation so far.
A severe approach
Promotional appearances portray Exe as relentless in pursuing Anomalies, with methods that can appear ruthless. Those brief views suggest a commander unwilling to compromise during a pursuit.
They do not yet explain the experiences or motives behind that severity. His early life, his route into the Bureau, and the events that shaped his approach remain largely unrevealed.
A weapon that changes form
Long dark hair, pointed ears, and a distinctive casual coat make Exe recognizable in promotional material. He carries a large mechanical weapon that can transform into a jagged blade along his arm.
That equipment adds to his formidable presence, though the available account does not establish a complete explanation of his powers or an Arc type.
Beyond the captain’s title
Exe’s leadership offers a starting point for understanding him, while much of the person holding that authority remains unknown. Even the origin of his unusual name has not been explained.
Command, responsibility, and the severity of his methods provide themes to explore as more of his story emerges. For now, they remain questions raised by his appearances rather than a complete account of his character.

The daughter of the Lirnia family
Fadia grew up as the only daughter of a political family. Privilege came with close scrutiny and firm expectations about how she should live. Within that restrictive household, she learned to keep her own wants out of sight.
A catastrophe brought that life to an end, destroying her parents and family. Afterward, she abandoned the Lirnia name and called herself Fadia DD. The initials stood for Desire and Death, giving the identity she chose a very different meaning from the one she had inherited.
From imprisonment to the Bureau
Fadia’s later life included criminal activity and imprisonment on Ghroth Island after a deadly incident. Its full circumstances remain unclear, and her own account leaves room for interpretation rather than providing a settled explanation.
An unidentified woman eventually arranged her release. With a pardon and an assignment to Enforcement Tactical Division 4, Fadia entered the Bureau of Anomaly Control’s ranks. Her unpredictable manner made her an unconventional addition to the team.
A sacred place left in ruins
There was once a place where Fadia knelt in sincere prayer. It has since been sealed away and reduced to ruins. That lost place points toward a history of faith and disappointment, though the events behind its destruction have not been fully explained.
The break with her former life is therefore more than a change of name or circumstances. Her past leaves questions about what she once believed and what became of those beliefs.
Freedom within ETD-4
At ETD-4, Fadia serves with Baicang, Skia, and the division’s other members. Their willingness to trust her varies. She, meanwhile, seems to welcome the freedom and excitement the assignment brings.
Her presence can be captivating and troubling at once. She is playful, theatrical, and comfortable with attention, sometimes meeting grave situations with disquieting lightness. Admirers reportedly write to her as though she were a savior; she reads their letters for amusement.
The meaning of DD
Desire, suffering, and death recur in how Fadia speaks about life. Her fascination with the boundary between pleasure and pain gives further context to the name she adopted after losing her family.
Her title, Apostle of Love and Death, invites questions about care and salvation, while her behavior complicates those ideas. Repression, broken faith, freedom, and responsibility offer themes through which to consider her story without resolving its moral uncertainties for her.
An elaborate appearance
Long lavender hair with blonde accents, bright pink eyes, and delicate glasses make Fadia recognizable. Her tailored coat and dark clothing are combined with purple detailing and vivid red ornaments, echoing the theatrical quality of her presentation.
The unanswered past
What happened to the Lirnia family, who secured her pardon, and why that woman intervened remain unresolved. The history of Fadia’s ruined place of prayer is another missing part of the picture. Each leaves room for more of her past to emerge.

Delivery as a discipline
Hathor has earned her place as Sterry Express’s elite courier through careful preparation and exceptional speed. Whether the assignment involves an ordinary parcel or hazardous Anomaly cargo, she approaches getting it to its destination as a serious responsibility.
Her motorcycle carries her through Hethereau, but speed alone does not determine her route. She weighs traffic, road conditions, equipment, and safety before committing to a delivery. Transporting dangerous packages and helping with Anomaly containment demand judgment as well as quick movement.
The company’s early days
When Sterry Express was still a small operation, its work rested with the Mentor, Jenson, and Hathor. The Mentor built connections, Jenson handled business negotiations, and Hathor made the deliveries.
The pace was exhausting. Over time, constant work became familiar enough that Hathor barely registered how much she was taking on. The Mentor eventually brought Haniel and Illica into the company to help share that burden.
A difficult introduction
Hathor’s restrained welcome gave the younger couriers the impression that she was hard to approach. She did want to know them, but finding words for that interest was more difficult than handling another assignment.
The Mentor offered a way forward in a form she understood: a task. Hathor was asked to learn what interested Haniel and Illica and spend time with them. Friendship entered her schedule as something to work on, then gradually became something less predictable.
Studying a shared interest
When she encountered their enthusiasm for anime, Hathor responded with the diligence she brought to her job. She took detailed notes and examined episodes almost as though she were learning a technical subject.
Her method could be awkward, especially while their excitement was still unfamiliar to her. Yet the effort also showed care. She was taking their interests seriously and trying to understand something that mattered to them.
A key worth keeping
A motorcycle key from the Mentor became an object Hathor treasured. Turning it and hearing the engine start connect her daily work with the quiet consideration behind the gift.
Riding is also one of the few pleasures she allows herself beyond scheduled duties. The motorcycle belongs to her working life, but it gives her room for enjoyment as well.
A stop outside the schedule
An advertisement for limited-edition merchandise led Hathor to make an unexpected visit to a shop. There, she considered buying gifts for the younger couriers.
The decision was modest, but it marked a change in what could guide her day. An unplanned stop and the thought of making a friend happy were beginning to matter alongside completed deliveries.
Care expressed through action
Hathor can seem cold or unreadable. Her methodical habits and limited ease with conversation do not mean she wants to keep everyone away. Dependability is one of the ways she shows concern, while loyalty, caution, and growing curiosity reveal more of her warmth.
Her story gives discipline room to coexist with rest and connection. Learning to welcome friendship and spontaneous kindness adds to her life without requiring her to abandon the care she gives her work.
A striking silhouette
Long silver-white hair accompanies a single feathered wing entwined with dark, thorn-like growths. Her black-and-white outfit combines buckles and biker practicality with wing and star imagery.
History still to be explained
Her earlier training, the full background of Wanderer’s Pact, and the incident behind her caution about losing control remain incompletely explained. Those gaps leave parts of the elite courier’s life open for future exploration.

Behind Eibon’s doors
Hotori runs Eibon Antique Shop, where the business of selling unusual objects shares space with the work of Anomaly Hunters. Her appetite for antiques and curiosities regularly draws the household into situations where an ordinary transaction can become something far stranger.
The shop occupies a two-story red-brick building in Hethereau’s Bridge Crossings District. Antiques and Anomalies fill the ground floor, while the upper spaces serve the people working there. Under Hotori’s leadership, the building has become a home as well as a headquarters.
A partnership with Adler
Hotori and Adler bring very different habits to that household. His attention to order and practical duties helps sustain a shop whose owner is easily drawn toward a new curiosity or an impulsive purchase.
She pursues promising objects, opportunities, and people she wants to protect; he handles much of the daily work that makes those pursuits possible. Together they have sheltered and guided Eibon’s younger members, giving the residents a sense of chosen family.
Glimpses of an earlier life
Accounts of Hotori’s past describe a tragedy during childhood that she and Adler survived. That shared experience offers context for their close bond, although its circumstances are not fully documented.
She is also reported to have worked with the Anomaly Control Agency before establishing Eibon, acquiring experience in containment. Her familiarity with director Alphard suggests a connection reaching back before the present-day story. The exact scope of that institutional history remains unclear.
The expense of a good find
Hotori takes pride in spotting valuable antiques, but her enthusiasm does not always make for sound spending. Bargain hunting and collecting can put the shop’s finances under pressure, leaving Adler with the practical consequences.
Her command of extraordinary mysteries sits alongside those everyday misjudgments. A woman able to manipulate time can still be carried away by a purchase the household can scarcely afford.
Duino Elegies
Hotori’s Esper ability is named Duino Elegies. In combat, she carries an elegant umbrella with a concealed katana and uses a Non-Closed Timepiece that gathers energy.
Her techniques allow her to observe and replay allies’ moves and slow nearby time almost to a standstill. Time becomes both a powerful part of her fighting style and a recurring connection to the memories and relics surrounding her.
Care beneath a casual manner
Teasing, distracted, and often seeming tipsy, Hotori can appear more interested in her latest treasure than in serious conversation. Beneath that relaxed presentation, she is perceptive and capable.
She tends to show concern by giving someone shelter, an opportunity, or help when it matters. The home she and Adler maintain says much about that care, even when she avoids a solemn explanation of it.
Grace and unanswered history
Hotori’s long dark hair and red-toned eyes accompany an elaborate red, black, and white outfit. Japanese-inspired details, flowers, tassels, and a decorated headpiece frame her graceful appearance, completed by her parasol.
Questions remain about the childhood tragedy, the awakening of her time-related powers, and her earlier Agency connections. Her present role is clearer: she gathers objects carrying traces of the past while helping people build a life together at Eibon.

A carefully learned everyday life
Iroi’s considerate manner makes her easy to approach. Beneath that familiar social ease is a childhood spent apart from much of the world: serious illness from birth kept her at home or in hospitals, with private tutors providing her education.
Her Esper power awakened unusually early and helped her survive. It also brought another consciousness into being. While the original Iroi retreated into an inner dream, the outward-facing self learned speech, gestures, and social habits by watching other people. Both belong to her story; treating one as merely a disguise would overlook that complexity.
Finding a place beyond home
After her private schooling, Iroi sought a way to participate in the wider community. She volunteered at the Sunward anomaly charity house, assisting with welfare work and basic Anomaly intake.
During the Teehee Bear incident, she helped Bureau personnel. Her control over her Esper ability caught their attention and led to her recruitment into Containment Strike Unit 2.
A dream that holds two lives
The original self remains asleep within the dream sustaining them both. The consciousness engaging with the outside world can stay awake indefinitely, yet still keeps ordinary bedtime habits. Blankets bring comfort, and familiar routines are part of the human life she has learned to inhabit.
Her earliest dream presents an imagined evolutionary course unlike a human one, followed by a disturbing awakening before birth. In that account, the original self recoils from life beyond the womb while another consciousness, created through her power, insists on continuing to live.
Survival becomes both a means of rescue and something difficult to carry. The story leaves each self’s ultimate wishes unresolved, inviting questions rather than offering a simple explanation of who should be considered the real Iroi.
The companions and the gates
Infant Dream allows Iroi to maintain unusually stable dreams and extend them into other people’s consciousness. During her isolated childhood, Morpheus, Icelos, and Phantasos helped populate that inner world with people, creatures, and landscapes.
Two gates reveal different sides of it. The Horned Gate leads toward a gentler dream experience, while the Ivory Gate can confront visitors with unsettling visions. Their contrast leaves open questions about what each reveals of her inner life.
Trust within CSU-2
Shinku’s discovery of the original self inside the dream caused a painful misunderstanding. She feared that the outward Iroi had displaced the person sleeping there. Mint helped them understand the situation, and Shinku’s apology allowed their friendship to recover.
Iroi’s gift also helps soothe Shinku when her own powers threaten to become overwhelming. Their relationship therefore includes both the difficulty of understanding one another and the possibility of offering meaningful support.
Keeping the team standing
In combat, Iroi focuses on survival and support. Small lamb-like companions accompany abilities that heal teammates, assist attacks, and pull enemies together.
Her ultimate opens a gate that provides continuing healing. With enough Imagination, the Ivory Gate can also harm opponents. A special dreamlike state can temporarily preserve or restore a fallen ally, extending the connection between her powers and the struggle to keep living.
Warmth and unanswered identity
Long green hair, small horns, and pink-toned eyes reflect the sheep and dream imagery surrounding Iroi. Her polite warmth coexists with introspection, while her bond with the three dream companions brings moments of tenderness and playfulness.
How her two selves understand each other, whether their desires can be reconciled, and what the gates disclose remain open questions. Her efforts to live an ordinary life make those questions about identity especially personal.

More than parcels and paperwork
Jiuyuan serves Sterry Express as both an Elite Courier and Acting Manager. Ordinary deliveries and administrative work are only part of what she handles. Sensitive information, Anomaly-related commissions, and situations demanding careful judgment also fall within her work.
Her polished conversation and discreet approach suit those responsibilities. She brings experience and connections to the company, though the basic account of her background does not fully explain where she acquired them.
A composed presence
Poised and observant, Jiuyuan gives little away. Her confidence stays measured even when circumstances become dangerous, while her smooth manner makes her well suited to gathering information and navigating difficult encounters.
That composure contributes to her mystery. She worked in another profession before coming to Sterry Express, but its nature remains unspecified here. Her previous work should remain an unanswered part of her history rather than an invitation to assign her a particular occupation.
Ordinance of Cycles
Jiuyuan’s Esper ability is called Ordinance of Cycles. In combat, she uses two firearms alongside Rose Pact Bullets and Lethal Rose Pact marks to build pressure on her opponents.
Intel Hunter lets her close the gap and bring targets under control. Her ultimate, Final Reckoning, strikes enemies around her and detonates marked targets. These techniques give her a fighting style centered on bursts of damage and controlling groups of enemies.
An elegant city silhouette
A broad black hat decorated with a blue flower is one of Jiuyuan’s distinctive features. A dark jacket with vivid blue accents accompanies a refined black-and-white outfit, giving her an urban elegance that matches her controlled presentation.
The experience behind the confidence
Her work leaves several questions open: what profession preceded Sterry Express, how she learned to gather intelligence, and which experiences shaped her steady response to danger. Until further story material provides answers, those details remain part of the uncertainty surrounding her.

A different way to follow a lead
Linko investigates Hethereau’s unusual incidents as a member of Enforcement Tactical Division 6. Her Esper ability, Telepathy, lets her perceive frequencies associated with people and Anomalies. Those distinctive signals give her a way to search for and track subjects that goes beyond ordinary observation.
She works in the same Bureau division as Chaos, Elyms, and Exe. Much of her known story concerns that fieldwork and her unusual powers, while her earlier life remains less thoroughly described.
The partner inside the television
A portable television travels on Linko’s back wherever a mission takes her. It is the home of Xiaozhen, an Anomaly who assists her with searches and tracking.
Their partnership also shapes how Linko moves through the city. By synchronizing with Xiaozhen’s spectral arms, she can launch herself across Hethereau, turning their coordination into a practical means of travel.
Cheerful, distracted, and unexpectedly on target
Linko is quick to act and can lose track of what she is doing. Her impulsive, absent-minded behavior sometimes makes others doubt her reliability, yet she has a striking habit of arriving where she needs to be.
Her perception can also make an ordinary encounter look peculiar from the outside. She has been seen addressing a fire hydrant as though it were sending a signal, a small illustration of how differently she experiences her surroundings.
Telepathy in combat
Linko’s basic attacks build Modulation, supporting coordinated Synced Strikes with Xiaozhen or allied Espers. Her ultimate creates a Resonance Field where multiple teammates can participate in repeated synchronized attacks.
That emphasis on coordination gives her a role in burst damage and follow-up attacks. Her signature Plasma-type Arc is Voice of the Voyager, accompanying a combat style built around sensing, timing, and working with others.
A recognizable field agent
Vibrant lilac hair, a distinctive headset, and a lightweight futuristic outfit frame Linko’s appearance. The television remains her clearest identifying accessory, carrying both her Anomaly partner and an essential part of her working life.
She became playable in Version 1.3, Phase 2, in September 2026. Her background before ETD-6 is still less documented than her current work and her close partnership with Xiaozhen.

The first head of the Coluccis
Nanally Colucci proudly calls herself the Ichi-daime, or first-generation head, of the Coluccis family in Hethereau’s Bridge District. She recruits eagerly and talks about her organization with the confidence of a formidable boss.
Behind the grand presentation is a more personal wish: she wants people she cares about to stay together. Her energy also follows her into Eibon Antique Shop, where enthusiasm and delicate antiques can prove an expensive combination.
Boss Tiger and the friends who drifted away
The Dreamwalk Corridor story reveals experiences beneath Nanally’s bravado. Her parents were absent during her childhood for reasons that remain unclear. In that period, she befriended Boss Tiger, a soft pink tiger Anomaly.
As Nanally grew older, her memories of their friendship faded. Boss Tiger eventually underwent self-nullification. Later, another circle of friends became the first Coluccis family, but changing lives gradually drew those companions apart as well.
These losses give context to her determination to build a lasting group. Her insistence on being an unbeatable boss can conceal the fear that she will be left behind again.
A headquarters that became a home
Nanally found Eibon while looking for somewhere the family could settle. Damage she caused to valuable antiques left her owing the shop a debt, bringing her into its working life.
There she met Daffodill, who taught her to fight. Nanally’s wish to grow stronger was tied to the hope that strength could prevent more departures. Training gave the two a close bond, while Eibon offered further chances to work, learn, and form relationships.
Her place at the shop began with an obligation, but it also became part of her search for belonging. Her story raises the question of how to keep caring for people as relationships change, rather than expecting everyone to remain exactly as they were.
Pride with a protective side
Loud, bold, and quick to confront anyone who dismisses her, Nanally embraces the manner of a streetwise leader. Mischief and a delinquent streak sit alongside generosity and a strong attachment to her friends.
She especially wants to prove herself before people she respects. That pride and protectiveness help explain both her swagger and the vulnerability underneath it.
Claws, momentum, and follow-up strikes
Genius Ichi-daime: Earth Flip accompanies a close-range Anima fighting style built around fangs, claws, and spirited street-fighting combinations. Basic attacks lead into more powerful Heavy Hitter strikes, with special techniques creating further opportunities for damage.
Her Colucci Ultimate Technique summons an Underboss to add follow-up attacks alongside her own. Colucci Black Cat Technique activates Ichi-daime’s Authority, enabling additional follow-up hits against enemies affected by Esper Cycle damage.
Her power also lets her challenge ordinary gravity and travel across surfaces in ways suited to her feline style. Aggressive pressure, movement, and coordinated attacks define her approach.
A family worth fighting for
Pointed ears, sharp teeth, and an animated expression make Nanally’s catlike design immediately recognizable. Her clothing and stance support the image of a confident gang leader, while her claw-based fighting carries the same feline character into combat.
Boss Tiger, the first Coluccis, Daffodill, and Eibon each reveal part of her longing for lasting companionship. Becoming stronger matters to her because of those bonds, giving her ambition an emotional purpose beyond winning a fight.

Keeping up with Kiroumaru
Sakiri may be one of Eibon Antique Shop’s smaller Anomaly Hunters, but she is rarely easy to overlook. Her companion Kiroumaru is an enormous hammer-like Anomaly with an appetite that makes everyday life and fieldwork equally unpredictable.
She is both its keeper and its wielder, trying to curb destructive habits while working alongside it. Affection and frustration often arrive together, especially when retrieving something Kiroumaru should never have swallowed becomes her next responsibility.
The refrigerator rules
At Eibon, Sakiri makes her expectations known through notices on the refrigerator. Feeding Kiroumaru miscellaneous objects is forbidden, underestimating people is unwelcome, and the third shelf is firmly off limits.
The rules are memorable partly because of the mysteries around them. Empty milk bottles prompt embarrassed denials, while the reason for protecting that particular shelf remains unexplained. Sakiri is much less eager to discuss her own food habits than to tell the household what it must not do.
Adventures with the Ace Trio
Alongside Nanally and Edgar, Sakiri belongs to the self-declared Eibon Ace Trio. Their assignments can bring repair bills and compensation claims back to the shop, with Kiroumaru’s eating habits sometimes responsible for the damage. Hotori delivers the reprimands while Adler faces the financial consequences.
Weekly Fantasy supplies Sakiri with further inspiration. Ideas from its stories can become reasons to persuade Nanally into another adventure with the Coluccis. Staying home offers no guarantee of quiet either: Taygedo may face a prank, and Kiroumaru can cause an accident without assistance.
More dependable than she first appears
Proud, playful, and stubborn, Sakiri objects quickly when her size becomes a reason to dismiss her. Her mischief can obscure the care she has for her friends and her readiness to act when they need help.
Her introduction even suggests she sometimes gets Nanally out of trouble Nanally has made worse. That possibility gives the household comedy another side: someone who helps create a difficult situation may also be capable of putting it right.
Ghosteater and the pull of gravity
Sakiri’s Incantation abilities combine Kiroumaru’s appetite with gravity manipulation. She swings the creature as a hammer during ordinary attacks. In Eating Mode, she rides it while enemies and movable objects are pulled toward its mouth; weaker opponents can be swallowed.
Devour Whole brings enemies together, knocks them down, or consumes gravity in an area to send them upward. Her ultimate, Feast of Gluttony, showers groups with Gravity Slurry, damaging opponents and pressing them toward the ground to restrict movement.
Support attacks use an enlarged Kiroumaru to strike. Together, these techniques give Sakiri ways to control groups and create better damage opportunities for her team.
A bright look beside a dangerous companion
Large blue eyes and ice-blue hair frame a single orange horn on Sakiri’s forehead. Longer strands fall beside her face beneath a black cap covered with pins. Her red cardigan sits over a white shirt and blue bow, accompanied by a dark pleated skirt.
Pink crossed bandages mark one knee, and a small teddy-bear accessory hangs behind her. The colorful, school-uniform-inspired outfit makes a striking pairing with Kiroumaru’s enormous form.
Questions behind the commotion
How Sakiri first met Kiroumaru, what makes the refrigerator’s third shelf so important, and how much the Anomaly understands about its own behavior remain open questions.
Her loyalty to Eibon and the Coluccis gives those antics an affectionate setting. Beneath the noise and accidents is a young hunter whose ability to protect her friends can exceed what others expect of her.

The distance she keeps
Shinku’s reserve can make her seem unwilling to make friends. For the dragon-horned CSU-2 operative, however, distance is a precaution. She fears what her immense strength could do to someone she wants to protect.
That fear began during an Anomaly attack on a rainy night. She fought for a friend’s safety, but lost control, causing destruction and injuring the very person she had tried to save. She does not regret stepping in; it is the harm that followed that convinced her solitude might be safer.
Training away from Hethereau
After leaving the city, Shinku trained with CSU-9. A mentor and senior colleagues helped her develop discipline and combat skill while she continued to struggle with sudden surges of power.
Their kindness reached her even when she could not readily express what it meant. Yet she kept pursuing an answer centered on self-reliance: if she became capable enough to work alone, perhaps nobody else would have to face the danger around her.
A collection for a future reunion
As a younger girl, Shinku wanted the friendships and celebrations other children enjoyed. Flare-ups of her abilities could instead leave her saying hurtful things.
Someone gave her a little shell and encouraged her to gather small treasures after quarrels. The idea was that, once she had overcome the dragon she struggled with, she could share the collection with everyone. Those objects became a hopeful promise that she might someday live more comfortably with her power and the people around her.
Learning a different kind of teamwork
CSU-2 brought challenges that fighting practice could not solve. Mint persists through Shinku’s cold looks and attempts to withdraw, gradually drawing her toward company and ordinary social life.
She is more cautious around Iroi, whose dream abilities can help contain her rampages. Shinku senses that Iroi keeps something concealed. The suggestion that she recognizes a habit like her own offers one way to understand that guarded response, rather than a settled explanation of it.
City hobbies reveal how much connection still appeals to her. Mystery boxes and Anomaly trading cards can draw her into excited conversations with other enthusiasts, even if she goes home alone afterward instead of letting those friendships further into her life.
Power under pressure
Shinku fights at close range, using Cosmos power to greatly enhance her strength and reactions. Her regular combat techniques gather Defiant Spirit, while High-Speed Breach sends her into a fast assault.
Crimson Fury spends accumulated power to activate Surging Crimson. During this brief rampage state, her speed and damage increase, her basic attacks become Tidal Assault, and Scarlet Descent adds forceful aerial claw strikes.
Crimson Judgment links rapid blows before Dragonflame Verdict delivers an area finisher. Surging Crimson ends after a short duration or when she switches out. Her signature Condensate Arc, Blushing Mirage, accompanies the tension between practiced control and the force of her transformation.
Choosing connection again
Proud, blunt, disciplined, and protective, Shinku can treat isolation as an obligation. Her concern is not a lack of feeling for friends, but the possibility of hurting them.
The care offered by her CSU-9 colleagues and CSU-2 teammates gradually challenges that belief. A later dossier shows her reaching out to the childhood friend she had avoided, marking a step toward trust without suggesting that every difficulty has been resolved.
The dragon motif
Dragonlike horns and crimson imagery connect Shinku’s appearance to her powers. Her practical combat outfits, casual clothes, and themed looks vary, but the dragon remains the recurring visual thread.
The exact trigger for her first loss of control and the limits of Iroi’s help remain open questions. Her developing relationships leave room to explore whether accepting support can become another way for her to keep people safe.

Those connections invite questions about loyalty and competing responsibilities, but they do not by themselves establish how she feels about her relatives or what she intends for them.
The deception at the Constantine estate
During the investigation surrounding Renee and the Constantine family, Zankou takes control of an Anomalous Realm modeled on the old Constantine estate. There she assumes the identity of Bella, the eldest daughter of Dolores Constantine.
Using that disguise, she works on Renee’s memories and guilt until Renee believes herself responsible for her family’s deaths. Renee then gives up the Anomaly called the Eternal Present.
Esper Zero sees through the deception and challenges Zankou, with allies joining the confrontation. Although Zankou withdraws from the fight, she gets away with the Eternal Present.
What that encounter reveals
Her actions in the realm show a willingness to impersonate someone and use another person’s grief to obtain what she wants. They establish her methods in this incident, rather than offering a complete explanation of her private character or family relationships.
Identity, memory, and emotional vulnerability provide useful themes for reading the encounter. The tension between her organization and her family is another question to explore, not a confirmed statement of her motives.
Powers still unconfirmed
Zankou is an Esper and takes part in combat within an Anomalous Realm. A reliable ability name, Esper type, Arc type, and complete playable combat kit have not been established in this account.
A detailed physical description also remains to be documented from official art or an in-game appearance. Her picture is shown here without adding unsupported details about her design.
The questions she leaves behind
Why she sought the Eternal Present and how it serves the Scarlet Letter remain unresolved. Her longer-term role, the nature of her powers, and her earlier history are also open.
Her relationships with Inanna, Daffodill, and Poinsette may help illuminate those questions as more of her story is revealed. For now, their family connection is known; her understanding of it is not.
